True Spirituality is deeper than what people realize. It is much deeper than a title or some feeling you get. When you are walking in the Spirit, you are dead to the world. It is a personal thing when you face yourself and look at your own sins. It comes through repentance. When God comes to you through a song or a scripture, that‘s when you can pray, humble yourself, and pray. Ask yourself, what does the cross really mean?
A poor wise man once said, “If you have to repent 50 times, just don’t quit”. The love of prayer, in the face of adversity. When you can honestly say, “God, I’ve sinned, but I will not be denied.” Ruth was one, God said a Moabite will NEVER, but she said, “intreat me not to leave the.” (Ruth 1:16)
You can always take God to court, hold his feet to the fire. Remind him that he is the God that cannot lie, he is the one who promised, and to that he has to answer. It’s there when you do your best, when you direct your thoughts. True prayer is “God, I’m not right, but I don’t want to go to hell.”
Sin is powerful; you must fear sin. You cannot get yourself right; you need God. You can be at the church all night long and never pray. In today’s society, people live godless; their profession does not match the way they live. Regardless, there is a true and holy God, but as the scriptures reveal, He is offended, He is angry. Jesus himself warned us about him, whom he referred to as God or the Father:
Luke 12:4-5 KJV 4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Sin is deadly, that’s why he said if thine eye offend thee pluck it out, if thine hand offend thee, cut it off. You don’t have to worry about anyone or anything else that is going on around you; just worry about your sin and getting it out of your life. Don’t worry about being saved, don’t even worry about going to hell, just worry about sin. “I don’t want to sin”. Just find yourself a place to pray. That is the message of the whole Bible, SIN NOT.
