Hello Dear friend,
My name is Pastor Christian Mawuko. I am an ordained minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
My Training:
I graduated from Agape Bible College with an Associate’s degree in Theology and Missions. I later earned a degree in Theology and Missions and a Master’s degree in Pentecostal Studies from Pentecost University.
My Calling:
I pastor at Golden Gospel Church since 2005 in Medie, a small community in Accra. Years ago, I took a salary loan to buy the piece of land where our church and my small family home now sit. With another loan, we put up a simple structure for worship and a 2-bedroom home for my wife and 4 children. We had little, but we had faith.
Today, our church roof leaks badly when it rains, and we don’t have enough chairs for the many children and adults who worship with us each week.
My Work:
Monday to Friday, I serve in Adenta as an Adult Literacy Facilitator with Ghana’s Complementary Education Agency under the Ministry of Education. My learners are petty traders, hairdressers, carpenters, drivers, and plumbers — men and women who never had the chance to go to school. When a 45-year-old mother writes her name for the first time, the whole class celebrates. That’s why I do this work.
The Reality:
I have worked with Complimentary Education Agency since 2010 and have not been promoted. The salary is meagre, and because of several salary loans I took to support my family and the church, loan deductions take my entire salary most months. I owe thousands of dollars. Yet the ministry and literacy work keep growing.
Why I’m Reaching Out:
I’m not asking for a one-time bailout. I’m looking for monthly ministry partners who will walk with my family and Golden Gospel Church so we can keep serving Medie and Adenta.
When you partner with us monthly, you will:
1. Help repair our leaking church roof so children can worship without getting soaked.
2. Buy chairs so elderly members don’t stand for 2 hours.
3. Stabilize my family so I can keep pastoring and teaching instead of leaving for another job.
4. Keep literacy classes running for traders and artisans who are finally learning to read
5. Help us pay bills and keep my children in school and provide meals for the many poor and hungry children in our Church community every Sunday.
My Promise: Every month I will send you a personal update — a photo, video, or voice note — so you see exactly who your giving helped.
If you feel led to become a monthly partner with my family and Golden Gospel Church, you can send support directly here:
MTN Mobile Money: 233 244 225 870
Name: Christian Mawuko
Or l can send you my bank account details
If you can’t give monthly, please pray for us. And if you know someone with a heart for rural churches and adult learners in Africa, I’d be grateful if you shared my story.
Thank you for reading. I don’t take your time for granted.
With gratitude,
Pastor Christian Mawuko
